Missing on my download, too.

BUT......

There is an article by the same author in the October 1930
issue of QST, concerning the Model D. The title just says
"multi range receiver with fouir tuned circuits" and doesn't
mention aircraft. But it does concern the obvious ancestor to
the Navy RU and various Air Corps BC designations
