Through the kindness and generosity of one of our community,
I acquired a very nice condition BC-669D (the final version with
BFO and other improvements).
(Mr. A.Q., don't remember if I told you- the RAK and RAL
receivers you so kindly passed-along are refurbished
and operational, once again standing their "battle stations"
aboard BB-64 U.S.S. Wisconsin.)
I have gotten several other items working and passed others
to good and appreciative homes. I told myself I would get the
669D in the schedule, but it looks like it will be a much longer
time and it's not fair to keep it waiting on "round tuit," which
I've often disparaged. And I already have a very nice one
on the air. The right thing to do is to pass this along
to a better, more ambitious home. I don't have a cable available.

Sorry, folks; I will not attempt to ship this. I will meet you
somewhere near the Dallas area when and where my work
and territorial limits allow. If someone wishes to pay for
professional packing and shipping, I will take it there.
Maybe a military vehicle museum? I'll hope for someone
who wants a cool WWII radio. I'll even kick-in a "correct"
transmit crystal for 3890KC, the N.E. Texas "AM Central."
I *might* have a set for 3885- not sure. The two-crystal
set for a transmit freq of 3500 works for 3885; you just
swap the Rx and Tx crystals and you're on 3885
(669D Receiver IF is 385 KC).
Only have one, so first-come I guess.
But "will pick up" gets priority.
