[Milsurplus] Shaky Tuning

Almost certainly the backlash gears, usually the
one on the end of the tuning cap.
Take a look at this video:

   It's about the TCS gears, but the tips
apply.  People argue with
me about running clean backlash gears
without lube, but in my experience, all
dousing them with oil does is attract dirt
to eventually gunk them up again.
Each to his own, of course.
