[Milsurplus] Micom S Information ?

Just acquired a Micom S. With programming board and manual, and the

radio is working.  A previous owner had programmed ham and

WWV/CHU frequencies, but the 60 meter channels loaded had the

old original channel 3. Only issue found so far is that the programming

dip switch is worn out, and needs some fiddling to get it to change

state.

I have questions, though.

1. The upper frequency limit is 18.1000. Any magical way to

get it to cover the whole 17 meter band? (Short of a new

CPU with altered internal ROM).

2  Is there a commercially available mic connector? At first I thought

it was a DIN like the Motorola Maxar, but it is not. I made an adapter

to use a standard Motrac mic with it, which works fine, but looks

kludgy.

Lastly, anyone have any experiences with the radio? Good? Bad?
