I'm assisting the family of SK W0AIH to dispose of the many items Paul had
collected over his years in
ham radio. I have come across an item that may be of interest to member of
this list. This 618S-1 is in the
carton it was shipped in from the remanufacturer. I don't think it was ever
even removed from it, only opened
at the top to verify that it contained what is printed on the cardboard. My
camera lens isn't suitable for
close up pictures, as you can see from the attachments, but there is a
customer acceptance tag dated
1-17-59 and a government acceptance tag dated 11-17-59. I suspect that
both tags should read the same
date. The dimensions including the carton are 16x8x24 and I estimate the
weight between 60 and 70 pounds,
so shipping would be rather expensive. It could possibly be transported to
a location between the Twin Cities
and Eau Claire WI, and I would meet someone in a radius of 150 miles for
$20 plus gas.
We have no idea what this item is worth so would welcome any ideas.
