[Milsurplus] ARN-30 repairs

Hi All,My highly modified ARN-30 VHF receiver (still covers 118-148) has need of replacement of all the capacitors that are held in the "pots" along both sides of the receiver.  Does anyone have experience replacing these (I am sure some of you knowledgeable folks must) and how to replace them with modern caps.  I am not looking for original appearance underneath the radio.
Any suggestions or offers to repair will be most welcome
