Color me skeptical. Antenna radiation is one thing but RF leakage from a
receiver dial doesn’t seem like much of a threat inside a steel compartment
full of teletypes switching 120vdc 60ma signals.
Or maybe it was the other way around and they were trying to keep TTY spark
noise out of the receiver?? Insert tongue-in-cheek emoji here.
