I tend to think more along the lines of Orwell, War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery and Ignorance is Strength. Fortunately, the study of arcane military technology Big Brother has not yet seen it necessary to correct history.
1984 is a lot faster read then Solzhenitsyn Archipelago, and if you substitute Covid for the war with East Asia or Oceania it all makes sense.
And as a final nod to Orwell we can see the systems attempt to eliminate all modern military communications technology without releasing it thru DRMO channels thru its destruction.
With the current tensions have to wonder if all military equipment like clothing, vehicles or anything in CARC or camo will have to be thrown down the history hole when no longer required for the state?
