[Milsurplus] Regen receiver in 2-way traffic ?

FWIW, several military receiver-transmitters use regeneratuve receivers, three disperate examples selected below:

SCR-178 (2.4-3.7 MHz) - On transmit, the antenna is disconnected from the receiver and the receiver input terminal is grounded.

TBY-* (28-80 MHz) - On transmit, filament voltage is removed from receiver RF tubes and applied to transmitting tubes.

AN/URC-11 (243.0 MHz) - On transmit, all power is removed from receiver circuits.

There seems to have been no notable difficulty with receiver frequency being where it needs to be when reception is once again enabled.
