Dave, I think I posted about this book here, maybe 3 - 5 years ago. 
I don't recall in depth details, but after reading it once, I kept it (somewhere) for some of the detail about 
emergency procedures and the use of MF frequency for distress. The book is not as detailed as you would
like, not a deep view of the war situation, more of an average person's report, but the book isn't expensive
and I think you'll find it worth the money and time.

Has anyone read this? Probably the 'radio operator' part is incidental to the story but one can hope for more.
