[Milsurplus] Good grief! Why? And a note about a book.

A buddy of mine has me on the lookout for a PRC 90 antenna adapter, the mx8802/prc90 adapter.  There is one one Ebay for $250...why?  Is this the proverbial 'hen's tooth'?

If you want a great book with strikingly clear B&W photos of gear like the BC375, BC348 all their ancillary components, try and find a hardcover copy of 'Service and Instruction Manual, Radio, B24D by Consolidated Aircraft Corp'.  I was just looking for B17F info and found a copy of this book and bought it because, #1 - it was inexpensive, #2, in the Ebay picture it was opened to the chapter on the radio direction finder.  It includes theory of operation,  alignment procedures, parts list, fold out schematics, wiring diagrams, location and placement of each component in the B24D, and all their inter-connectivity cabling and pin outs, , basically everything about the gear in that plane, but on gloss paper with perfect photos.
