[Milsurplus] Submarine HF transmitters - 1950s

What HF xmtr was used for post-WW2 US subs before SSB came along with the
WRT-2 and URC-32?

Was the SRT-14, -15 (or URT-2, -3) ever used aboard subs?
Or were TBL xmtrs still installed on boats built in the late 1950s (like
USS Nautilus).
Or??
