[Milsurplus] DAG-1 Dust Covers and Antennas

OK- Let's see if I can do this without
screwing-up the links (good luck, right).

I'm using a BC-611 antenna right now, just
poking it in the hole.  Works but looks yicky.

I built the extension cable to work on the
radio out of the case.

The threads on the antenna holes in the
top are actually for dust covers.  These are
  often missing, as was the large one for the
loop on this set.  Took me forever to find the
right dust cover for it.

I found the compass in Great Britain via Ebay
some years ago.  He listed it with the Navy
type number or I would never have found it.

An important tip when working on the set:
When you remove the chassis from the case,
be very careful and pay attention to the IF cans.
The adjustments stick up and can get hung on
the case fastener receptacles.

I built a 12V DC-DC power supply for the 90V,
a linear regulator for the 1.5V filament, a 9-volt
battery for bias and series diodes to ground on
the filament string to protect the tubes should
the regulator fail.
