[Milsurplus] [ARC5] DAG HFDF Sense Antenna.

Hi Mike –
Of course, I appreciate and understand the need for the sense antenna. I suppose two of these separated by considerable difference (depending on resolution required) and with comms between the two, the ambiguity could be resolved. In one direction they would converge to the location while in the other diverge forever. Hope all is well with you. Thanks &73 – Mike

I can't answer the ambiguity question as posed, Mike, but the need for a sense antenna is well documented back in the early 1930s, perhaps even earlier. That and other considerations are described at https://aafradio.org/docs/1936_NRL_Aircraft_Radio_Training_Manual_DF_Chapter.pdf (page 107 begins the sense antenna discussion).

I have never seen a DAG till I saw your request below. Sure is a neat receiver. I wonder if all of those early sets had no way to resolve the 180 degree ambiguity. 73 – Mike

Does anyone have or know of this sense antenna?
It is the only piece missing from my DAG.
I would pay or trade well for it.
