Yes.

Many years ago, a friend (Bob Preston W7DPG) and I lifted a complete BC-610E out of the 
back of his pickup, carrried it into his shack, and set it, carefully, on the floor.

We didn't find out until much later that it weighed over 400 lbs.

I wouldn't attempt that at my present age and condition....

We eventually found that the BC-610, when properly modified, makes a "superb" 2600 watt 
linear amplifier for MARS use.

The power supply is good for 3 kV at over 1 amp continuous duty. Amazing. We used 3B28 
rectifiers.

We used a pair of 304TLs in Class B. IMD was probably not very good, but at that time we 
didn't know any better. And no one ever complained.

We were doing phone patching into SEA for AFMARS at the time.
