Another TBX-8 question. My TBX-8 dead keys 12 watts and modulates to 18 watts. Should the TBX-8 provide more peak modulated output? Mic volume is turned up to maximum and mic is 150 ohms.

What resistance carbon mic should be used with the TBX-8 WWII transceiver. A Shure 104C is about 500 ohms and the TBX audio transformer is 100 ohms. The TBX-8 uses 12 volts DC. A telephone carbon mic element is about 150 ohms and a WWII T-17 is about 200 ohms.
