Two methods:

1)  Use a drill press with a 3/32" wide hack saw blade or flat file in 
the chuck to create a new key slot at the correct angle for the 
rekeying.  In essence you will be moving the hack saw blade up and down 
until the slot is deep enough for the male key on the phenolic to slide 
into the backshell.  Final depth should be about half the thickness of 
the backshell.  The only touchy thing about this method is getting the 
angle correct, but you can use a flat file edge to correct minor 
errors.  I have several backshells in which past owners have made 
mutiple hacksaw cuts, so it is certainly doable.

2)  If you have access to a friend with one, you can do the same thing 
in a milling machine, with a .093" wide cutoff blade, and rotating 
chuck, as shown in the attached photo.  It takes all of 30 seconds in 
the soft aluminum.  The photo shows what the goal is for this exercise.
