On my fourth attempt to get a bias meter made up for the hickok I am
rebuilding I finally succeeded. What a problem this was the meter I used
was a simpson. Nobody ever made a meter better than simpson in my opinion
they can take a lot of abuse. Anyway I glued the scale onto the existing
one and had to bend the pointer up and down so the new scale would fit. And
had to bend the pointer stop on the left because the needle counterweight
kept getting stuck on the left stop and would not go to zero. And all that
stuff is so tiny not a good job to do after a coffee with shaky hands. Here
is the picture finally I will be able to reassemble the tester. And then
the hard part ohm it all out again to make sure I did not make a mistake in
the rest of the wiring. It is a 539A.
Hope you are all well.
