[Milsurplus] Berry 148A power supply ?

Actually, once I had further removed the innards from the case, I found inside a :
Power-One Inc. HB48-.5   
chassis supply.  It's 0.5 amp DC continuous. I think if I can bump it up to about 
60 or 70 some volts, it would serve to power some tubed equipment, including 
milsurplus. I still found no technical information. I saw one on Ebay, asking about
$42, and I thought, good luck pal. At a hamfest, it might ( might ) bring $1 - 5. 

I still wonder what its role in the wireline phone industry was. I never saw one
used.
