[Milsurplus] Dynamotor curiosity

First of all, no connection to seller, and I
don't need this item so no financial interest.

eBay item number 114152560578 is listed
as a DM-53 dynamotor, the nameplate for which
is clearly shown in the photos. The DM-53 is the
dynamotor for the BC-733 ILS receiver, which
doesn't have much collector interest(except
for weirdos like myself).

However, it also carries the nameplate
showing it as a DY-34B/ARR-15. And it has
the base and brush holder for the
AN/ARR-15 dynamotor. The unit in the
photo will not fit on a BC-733.

Both nameplates look riveted on, so I
don't think this is a ham hack.

Just wondering if this was maybe a
postwar overhaul of a DY-34 that used
the machine from a DM-53 as a replacement.

Just think it was unusual that it would
carry the original nomenclature plate.

So if anyone needs a dynamotor for their
AN/ARR-15, here you go.
