Thank you for sharing that story.

When I was in Haiti last year working on some broadcast transmitters I was
on my back with my left hand in one of the RF compartments.  I need to
shift my position a bit and brought my right hand up to the transmitter
cabinet.   The guy I was with immediately said  “You’ve violating the one
hand rule”…..   and I was preaching that rule to him the day before!

As time permits I’m working on my newly acquired TBW HF Transmitter and I’m
not afraid to admit that it gives me a bit of the willies when I’m working
on it.   Maybe that’s healthy though.

One of my old flight instructors showed me this quote: “Aviation in itself
is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it
is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity, or neglect.”
I think that applies to HV radios as well.
