The rack on the right is interesting. The middle unit has a meter on it which looks almost
exactly like those contained in Stoddart Noise Meters. In addition, there is a small loop
antenna against the back wall.
I would venture to think this is some sort of DF station dedicated to finding and fixing RF
noise.
The stuff on the left is obviously some National receivers.
FYI, the Stoddart Noise Meters are superbly built receivers. Models cover from a low
frequency of something like 10 Hz (RF) through several thousand MHz.
I have models here covering most of that range.
The Navy also has the AN/URM-6 series, which are Stoddart Noise Meters covering the LF
and low MF ranges.
I have at least two complete setups of that rig.
I also have at least two NM-20Bs which cover the HF spectrum, and contain a BFO. The
receivers actually make very good portable communications receivers, and they are excellent
DF receivers too.
