[Milsurplus] Unk aircraft radio band filter ?

I believe this came out of a civilian aircraft band radio built by Collins.
So what is it, specifically?
There are 5 of these ? "tuned lines". They are all connected in parallel, no capacitor between
elements. The BNC connectors are "Input", "Output", and "Sidetone".  There are 2 Ge diodes
inside the unit also.
Bandpass circuit, but why?
Slightly useless, or totally useless?
