[Milsurplus] "Across The Pacific" PBS Documentary Premiers tonight! (North Carolina)

Brian,
Thanks for posting the link to these shows. Very interesting and
informative. Some questions for the group:
In episode 2, their presentation of the loop antenna shows max signal
when the signal path is at right angles to the plane of the loop and
minimum when aligned with the plane of the loop. Looks like they got it
backwards?
Then they show a 4-foot box loop with wire wound solenoid-fashion around
each individual leg of the loop like four solenoids connected together
to form a square. How does that work?
I didn't get the explanation of the Adcock antenna either. Was this
actually supposed to be a 4-couse range station? I'm guessing that the
abbreviated explanation was justified in the interest the basic story line.
