I have some manuals here to dispose of. They fear their fate if a new
home isn't found for them.
WAR Dept. Technical Manual Parachutes, Aircraft Fabrics, and clothing.
TM 1-440. One place says Jan 10, 1941.
WAR Dept. TM 11-620 for Radio Sets, SCR-608-A and SCR-628-A. 1 Jan
1944. Excellent shape.
Preliminary Instructions for Radio Set SCR-578-A. Bendix Aviation.
Order NO. 676 - WFSCPD-42 and 1152-WFSCPD-42. No Date. Like new condx.
Preliminary Instructions for radio Set SCR-578-A, Bendix Aviation.
September 10, 1942. Technical Order No. 08-10-94. Rough but complete.
Handbook of Maintenance Instructions for Radio Set SCR-578-A or
SCR-578-B. TO AN-08-94. This one has the heavier stock paper for the
cover. 19 August 1943. Rough but complete.
Instruction Book for Operation and Maintenance of Radio Set SCR-578-A.
Army Air Forces Technical Order No. 08-10-94. Revised Nov. 27, 1942.
This is the one that would have been assigned to a particular Airplane
type and AAF Serial No. Sez so right on the front cover.
revision Sheet for book for Operation and Maintenance of Radio Set
SCR-578-A. One page item but an envelope attached to the back has the
"packing list" for the radio. No date but you can tell it's all
typewriter print.
Cool stuff. History indeed.
Lamps. I have a box full of 28V 40 ma lamps with 2 pins. Some of the
lamps show an "A" or "B" on the front and are red in color. Also in the
same box are some yellow, kinda clear and lots of red without any
markings. Then i have a jar with the panel mount holders for them.
These came from a piece of GE radio gear which was then junked out.
Must be 100 or more of the lamps in the box but only 14 of the panel
mountings. $10 for the lot plus postage.
