Radio Blvd has a similar one that is an SLR-M.  It does not have a name plate on the right side as the one you picture does, but taking a guess the military to a commercial receiver and  'militaried' it up with more nomenclature and an extra plate.  If anyone has not visited radioblvd.com lots of great pix and depth to the info.  Henry has published in ER and other places too, a wealth of info.
