[Milsurplus] Scott receiver ID needed?

Help needed to identify the Scott receiver next to President Harry Truman’s desk 1945.  Was this a common receiver used on a Navy Cruiser during WWII for VIP State Rooms?  Was Truman heading home from Europe?  See caption under picture.
