So, Paul, which TCK model do you have? Do you have any of the accessories, such as the
antenna coupler? What do you need for your power supply?
I own a much-modified TCK-4.
The original owner, now SK, replaced the entire AM modulator with a home-brew AC power
supply. He did a superb job. He also replaced another part on the left side with another power
supply, probably for the low(er) voltages. Lastly, he built an RTTY modulator into it. He must
have been some sort of electronics specialist as he did an unusually good job on all his
mods. Most of them look "factory" done. Lacing, etc.
He used this rig for several years for RTTY and on MARS.
When I got the rig, it had been left outside for a number of years. It is going to take me at
least 100 hours of work to restore it to working condition, although it IS complete otherwise.
I also own a TCM-2, which needs restoration. I believe the TCM-2 has more knobs, meters
and dials per square inch of panel space than any other transmitter in existence.
That one needs a power supply too.
