In reference to the question about the location of TCS antenna tuner: I have a TCS-12 that I believe is in condition as delivered. The ant. tuner is bolted to the top of the transmitter. I have no info on the distance from the tuner to the base of the antenna.

In regards to the TCS installation in PT Boats, does anyone know the distance from the TCS TX to the 6 position outboard tuner, and the tuner to the base of the whip? Was this installation similar to aircraft where the hot feedline was covered with ceramic bead insulators? By the way, the company that made those beads back in WW II is still in business and can still make the exact insulator style if you are recreating an ARC or SCR setup.

Here's another batch of manuals, again shipped to you for postage via media

1. TM11-809-10/TO T-368/URT manual, loose pages bound into notebook. May
(or may not) be complete, but in nice condition.
2. CV-157 manual COPY, with schematics, in binder
3. ARR-15 manual COPY, loose pages
Thanks!

The AN/GRC-103 transmitter/receiver is listed as having the following
frequency ranges:
Band 1 220-405 MHz
Band 2 395-705 MHz
Band M 610-960 MHz
Band 3 695-1000 MHz
Band 4 1350-1850 MHz
Why is the third band designated "*Band M*"?
Regards to all.
Tom

I was just googling "afloat communications" and turned up an article by
"Nancy King-Williams". I wonder if she has an Uncle Roger and a Dog named
Charlie?
