M151 "Mutt" central operating location at the boat ramp next to the beach on Beltzville Lake. For MRCA Gilbert, Friday afternoon, Sept 27
Rather than set up activity times for each mode and frequency, this year we will look for each other on target frequencies on the half hour. Give about five minutes to wait for stations to show up.
We will be broadcasting what frequency we will be monitoring before every half hour starting at 1:30 up to 4:30 on 51.0 FM and attempt to work anyone who wants to work us.
We will also have a Inverted V antenna for 5.357 USB and start with that channel first at 1:30 for local stations and stand by for any off site stations that want to work us to call at 2:00(EST) that afternoon.
Target Frequencies and Modes
3570 kHz CW - Depends on if I can locate a CW Key with U-77 connector, using whip antenna on Mutt.
3875/3885 kHz AM -This will be USB + Carrier using whip antenna on Mutt.
5.357 MHz USB - First two rounds (1:30 and 2:00 local) using GRC-106 and Inverted V antenna.
18.150 MHz USB using GRC-106 and whip antenna on Mutt.
51 MHz FM - using VRC-43 on Mutt. This will be the broadcast channel on where we are monitoring.
144.250 MHz FM or AM - This will depend on what radios are on site using URC-110 (5 watts) ¼ wave whip.
At least that's the plan for right now, as always looking forward to working as many local and distant stations as possible on Friday. And running everything associated with the mutt and its radios is always a big project so anyone who is on site and wants to come out help us is always welcome.
Will attempt to work the 7.296 USB MMRCG Net Saturday morning from the Fair Grounds using the GRC-106 and depending on how ambitious using the whip or an inverted V.
