This *should* work if your receiver has a low-Z antenna input, a link winding. But at least theoretically, it should not help if you have a high-Z input, such as in the 'Command Sets' receivers.
But here is something that still puzzles me:
Years ago, the auto accessories catalogs had a "car radio antenna booster". This appeared to be only an inductor, solenoid wound, inserted into the car antenna.
Now, car antennas are high impedance, capacitive reactance, and that's what the car radio expects to see. The lead in from the antenna to the radio is even a special low-capacity type to deal
with this. So how could this "car radio antenna booster" actually work? Maybe it didn't, really ????
