I have what seems to possibly be an unusual AR-88 variant, and I need your help identifying it. I have photos I can send to anyone who is interested in helping me out. I bought it about 15 years ago, and the prior owner insinuated it was some sort of odd-ball variant. (Maybe he knew a sucker when he saw one!). Here's what I know:
1. It is a five-band receiver. It includes the BCB and has an S-meter. There is no phone jack, and no identification markings or labels.
2. There is a six-screw terminal strip on the back, but no markings. To the right of the terminal strip are two large holes on the rear apron of the chassis. Right above the terminal strip, there is a round hole in the horizontal portion of the chassis partially underneath a transformer.
If anyone is interested, please let me know and I will send the pics to your email address.
As always, thank you for your help.
Joe
