I've made mobile bases for heavy stuff (not the T-368) using upside-down 
ball casters, heavy-duty ones can be obtained from material handling 
vendors on eBay for a reasonable price.  I'm not interested in a base 
that glides with a feather touch but rather one that is very stable, 
distributes the weight, and has the lowest center of gravity, yet can be 
moved when needed.  Here's one I made for my Collins 20V-2 transmitter:

Obviously you need a smooth floor, the ball casters aren't gonna roll 
across that 70's vintage shag carpet you've been meaning to replace ;-)
