A good sized shock like this really makes you sit down and think seriously for some time afterward, doesn't it ? 
I recall now how in my youth we played with high voltage neon sign transformers, the high current models, at 15 kV,
and how we liked popping pieces of aluminum foil, "supernovas". Dumb, dumb, dumb. Life can be sort of a winnowing
process, I think. The smart and/or lucky make it thru the maze.
