[Milsurplus] Roy Pafenberg, W4WKM (and Major, U.S. Army)

I recently mentioned a Roy Pafenberg/W4WKM article that appeared in 73 Magazine.  Roy wrote many military surplus conversion articles for 73 Magazine around 55 years ago.  Although even then I thought the conversions were much too extreme, the articles were always interesting and educational.

FWIW, Roy passed away in 1996 at 75.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and Korea, and earned the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.  He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

That's a little something to think about when reading old 73 Magazines as Memorial Day approaches.
