"A commenter on Shorpy said is a Hallicrafters speaker.  Is that correct?"

My initial gut feeling is no, not at all.

I have a couple dozen hallicrafters speakers, even plywood ones like 
this, and seen many, many more over the years.

The design, and style doesn't look like any I have seen, and those that 
have the h in the grille, or anywhere on them, use a lower-case h.

I suppose it could be, but I'm going with it's not.

It has an H, but not a hallicrafters h.

A glance at a few hundred hallicrafters speakers pics online brings up 
nothing like this.

And, what's up with that anchor?
