[Milsurplus] Wanna Build GF/RU?

Terry, do you have an RUGF manual ? That would settle your voltage questions. Unless I'm misunderstanding your note.
I didn't go to Puyallup this year, wasn't up to it, but the year before, that would be 2018, I saw a Navy, yes Navy, small
AC power supply – control box simulator for the RUGF equipment for sale, $75. I am almost thinking now I should have
bought it. Unlike the "large Navy RUGF AC supply", this one did not require any control boxes, just connect up your
transmitter and receiver. Of course, that wouldn't be an aircraft config, but it would be authentic, and so easy to get
the things working.
If you are looking for junction boxes, you optionally send me an exact list of which number unit. I have 1, maybe 2 complete
RUGF sets that I must eventually dispose of, and maybe ( maybe ) more junc boxes than radio sets. Some of the connectors
are not easy to find. I will also take requests on connectors. Some I have hundreds of, some I only have enough for my own
sets. As much as possible I want to dispose of what I can build up in complete sets.
No spare coils !
( Except SCR-183/ 283 trans coils ! )

I have the GF-11/RU-16, RU-19, SCR-183, and SCR-283 sets, but no Radio Junction Boxes
for any of the above pairs. What I don't see are any details on how to bring up these radios
without these junction boxes ie the minimalist home brewed circuits to getting them on the air.
Maybe I'm missing the correct keywords in my search, but I haven't even seen the voltages/signals
listed for the connectors on the transmitters and receivers. I know I can use the wiring harness and
trace the signals back to each connector, but would have though that someone would have documented
this when they powered up these units (more than 80 years of hams playing around with these) bare-bones.
Thanks,
terryc
