[Milsurplus] Robert Watson-Watt and British Radar, The Wizard War

I used to wonder how there could be a movie offered free on YouTube when other option was to pay to rent the view.
It seems to be by lowering the resolution and cropping frames, as in this one. I have even seen one movie "left-right reversed".
Some of these renderings are just too miserable to watch. Your opinion may vary.
Now I understand the technical means. I don't still understand the logic. Is it that YouTube hasn't discovered them, with x millions
of "content" being uploaded every minute, or is it that the logic is, anyone who REALLY wants to see the movie in its original
quality will not settle for the lower quality free version ? And / or that the content's owners don't find it worthwhile going after
the copiers ?

Digression: I can now listen to about any music free via YouTube or Pandora ( for example. ) Pandora does pay the content owners'
group, but YouTube doesn't. So any musical group now has to make its living from shows and merchandise – very very few people
buy recorded music anymore. I notice that music personalities with strong legal teams, their music doesn't show up on YouTube.
