We just finished watching "Castles in the Sky" which detailed, rather skimpily, Robert
Watson-Watt and the development of radar and Chain Home.

There were several shots of the electronic gear....which contained several tuning units from
the BC-191/375, at least one BC-348, and at least one early HRO receiver.

I didn't catch all of those bits that were there, so I intend to watch the movie again to see
what else was used.

The BC-348 was mounted in a large panel and in a rack, and was shown, rather quickly,
several times.

The HRO was sitting on a table early on in the movie, not being used. It was just a prop, but
it was obviously beautifully restored.

Anyone else see this movie tonight?

I am curious as to who built this stuff for the movie and why was all of it U.S. WWII surplus?
