Relating to something Dave Stinson wrote about the "MF Command Transmitters".
He is right about overseas ground aero stations.
But - I do not think this necessarily weighs in as big evidence for their reason for being.

BTW, until Geoff alerted me to this article, I was unaware of the story of the KHMZA QSL I have - the airplane station.
