[Milsurplus] National NBS-1 in Tualatin OR

National NBS-1 receiver on Ebay. Says local pickup only, Tualatin OR,  no shipping; I guess otherwise it might have sold already.
I think this may be at the upper end of its value? Maybe if doesn't sell, plus the no ship condition, maybe price will drop ?

NBS-1 is basically a National NC-183 with an additional IF stage and variable IF coupling selectivity in addition to the crystal filter.
No one seems to know quite why the National Bureau of Standards bought these.

I came across this whilst I was looking online to see how uncommon this receiver was. I have one, and was trying to decide whether to
sell mine or not. Still undecided but leaning against. Mine is also rackmount but has the full cover. I also have a manual, if you find
yourself needing a copy.
