Actually there is no such thing as an R-390A. There is only an R-390A/URR.

The AN nomenclature system covers systems such as AN/FRR-42 and components
such as R-390A/URR.
For example:
R-xxx/URR-35 is used only for AN/URR-35 application
R-xxx/URR is used for utility, radio, receiving applications
R-xxx/UR is used for utility, radio applications
R-xxx/U is used for utility applications
