[Milsurplus] [MMRCG] Navy MAK day two!

Yes, 455 for certain. Channel 4 in the radio is 3.00 MHz and the channel 4 TX rock is 3.00 and the channel 4 RX rock is 3.455 MHz, anecdotally I can take the channel 4 RX rock and stuff it into the TX slot and get the radio to work well transmitting on 3.455 MHz
The coil for channel 4 TX Oscillator has a scale next to its adjustment and is set to 30 at 3.00 MHz, its set to just below 40 for 3.455 and backed all the way out to 50 the LC circuit grid dips out to 3.7 MHz so that’s why I think it’s beyond its current range.
Want to get the transmitter going on 3.885 first with the idea that will be easy compared to the receiver. Been approaching with this general plan of attack:
First get the radio working both receive and transmit on original frequency.
Accomplished.
Second get the transmitter working on 3885.
In process.
Third get the receiver working on 3885.
Don’t have the rock yet, been ordered. Who knows what new surprises lie in wait!

This project has not been quick or easy. And the value of using this as a portable base station on 3885 at events has not been determined yet considering the large amount of good working sets like SCR-284, 288 that are out in the field that may be better suited for show operations but anyone who knows me knows that I refuse to spend any real money and tend to want to work with the more difficult or unpopular sets like the TBX that I was running some years back.
Wanted to do a SCR-245 (BC-223/BC-312) being that is huge, heavy and relatively low performance but the MAK has come along so that’s the horse that I am going to ride now.

Is the receiver IF 455 KC for sure? On the BC669, it's like 385 KC.
