The Fort Hancock NY56 Nike base is still present in Sandy Hook National Recreational area. They periodically give tours of the radar site and occasionally of the launching area.
Check it out if you are in the area:

Ajax was conventional, and the first in the Nike series. Hercules and Zeus were capable of carrying a small nuke warhead. We had a Nike base near where I grew up in NJ, and I toured it once or twice as a kid. Think the base came in three widely separate sections- a launch site, a radar site, and a command site.

If I recall correctly the Nike Ajax series were nuclear armed ground-to-air AAA missiles for use against Russian nuclear bombers! Where did you get one of those? I need one for my front yard!!!
