[Milsurplus] Long Wire Adapter

A friend showed up at my front door yesterday, and gave the subject device to me.

The nomenclature plate on it reads:

RF-625A
Long Wire Adapter
Serial number 2810
Harris
RF Communications

It is a small grey box, about 4" in a cube shape, with a flange on one side which is obviously 
meant to enable it to be bolted to something.

There are two large-ish white ceramic behive insulators sticking out of it, one on "top" and 
one on the left side.

I have not yet opened this up to see what is inside it, but does anyone here recognize this 
thing and what piece of equipment it was originally meant to go with?
