Howie and Conard, you guys are real pros. And in record time, too; no consulting and no stalling.
You both would be my choice for guest contestants on that old CQ – sponsored ( mythical ) TV show,
"Name That Thing".
Thanks to all who gave suggestions ! This one had me totally stumped and I think all will agree, a pretty darn
obscure part and hard to identify !
As I do not have anything that uses such a large crystal, I offer it cost free mailed to someone who does.

Hue sounds like it could be used for a crystal socket adapter. Like on my Millen 90800, to use Ft243 types. The socket on the Millen is a 5 pin. I made my own.
