Here's a short sample of the WWII German "Soldier's Stations" which like our AFRS, provided broadcasts for the armed forces
both on MW and SW bands. The German stations, as I have read, on the East were mostly van - mobile. I have somewhere a 'Radio Bygones'
( U.K. magazine ) article on these broadcasters. The "Soldatensender Belgrade" sampled here, was also the most famous of these, well
heard in Europe and North Africa.
One big mistake the Reich authorities made was having certain cities marked on the dials of 'morale radios', as 'approved broadcasters', cities
such as Smolensk and Minsk, which were not so long under the boots of the invaders.
