Robert, and all,

I have four of the wonderful R1051xx radios that I have grown tired of. Replacing them with RBB/RBC and FRR59/WRR59s.

They need a home. All work to some extent, but, I haven’t the patience to pursue.

I rather like the R-1051 family. Unfortunately, I’m some 2000 miles away. But unfortunately also, he used one of those words (within reason) that for most collectors these days, whether of radios, machine tools, or just about anything else, is really a synonym for “dirt cheap”.

I received this note from Mark Dinsmore, a fellow member of the NWVRS antique radio collector club in Portland, OR.

My own interest is pretty much WW2. I never cared for the R-1051's tuning system either. Maybe there is someone

closer to his city or really, anywhere, who can get him started on these ?

>Hey Hue,

Are you into military communications gear? Some navy gear came my way the other day, a R-1051B/URR and a R-1051G/URR receivers along with a T-827H/URT exciter.

I wonder if you have or know anyone who is interested in these things and would be a good ‘elmer’ or may have a collection of donor modules and parts.

I think it might be fun to get these going again, if it can be done within reason.
