Oops…slightly more complicated….
squinting again at the magazine photo, I note:
nameplate is more square and less elongated than the military HRO-W
STANDBY and PHASING controls do not have chrome ring,
so, not WW2 U.S.
But….the meter style, with the plastic frame cutting straight across the bottom fraction of the meter face….is WW2  HRO-W.
I would have to guess….late pre-war production ?
