SCR-245-(*) consists of BC-223-(*) transmitter and BC-312-(*) receiver.  I
think earliest Signal Corps Orders were FY 1940.

Subject: [armyradios] Artillery battalion radio plan, late 1930s

An Army artillery text from late 1930s identifies the SCR-178 as the
air-ground radio; SCR-245 as air alert net receiver;

and SCR-161 as division HQ to Artillery unit radio. And oh, yes, almost
forgot, SCR-194 as observer radio.
Yes, seems a little odd.

I think I will scan the page network schematic but this will be a while; I
have to disassemble the book ( nondestructively do-able )

to scan the page.

Comments, any ?
